Monday and Tuesday, June 14 and 15 -- Two Incredible Days!

Wow, what great days. On Monday we had a Family Home (really away) Afternoon and Evening. We went to Sharks' Cove and did snorkeling. While BJ and Tashara had done it a little bit before, they really had never done more than five minutes, and didn't remember it at all. Kaleb had never snorkeled before. But the three of them caught right on, and went out for about 45 minutes and saw tons of fish, coral, urchins, and even an eel. They were great, and we had a ton of fun. Dad went with them while Mom watched the younger three. Then Dad switched. Alexia snorkeled for a few minutes, but not too many. The second round, Kaleb also stayed with the smaller kids, and Mom, BJ and Tashara snorkeled for a long, long time. We had so much fun!

After that we did FHE with the ward at Ward Camp!

On Tuesday we went to Turtle Beach and saw a few turtles, it was great. Then we went up to Haleiwa, and went kayaking. Then we went to Waimaea Bay and even just a bit at the autobon center. Then we went to Pipeline Beach, Ted's Bakery, and then watched the sun set at Sunset beach. We were exhausted, but we had a great time!

First Week in Hawaii

So we have been here a week now. We have already had a ton of fun. Classes have been going well for Dad, and Mom and Dad spoke at Women's Conference yesterday, and felt like it went okay (they will do the same lecture again today). The kids never stop playing. We live right next to the playground, and life here in the town houses is pretty much chaos. Kids coming in and out all the time, no time of day where there isn't someone wanting to play with them, non stop craziness out at the playground. We often can't go do the fun stuff we plan because we can't get all the kids in from the playground.

We have managed to go to the beach once, the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) once, and to the Dole Pineapple Plantation. We are having a lot of nostalgic times, loving being back. The giving, helping, loving spirit is wonderful to feel again. It is a wonderful place and a wonderful people.

Aloha! We are here!

No pictures to post today, just a short note to say we made it to Hawaii!

It was a long flight, but the kids were absolutely spectacular, both in the airports and on the plane. When we got to Hawaii and waited for our ride Jacob got a bit crazy for a while. You can hardly blame the kid after being cooped up for so long.

Anyway, we got moved in after the kids were all asleep, and then they woke up at 4:00. It's not yet 6 am and they are all awake and I'm trying to keep them quiet. Should be a fun day.
